Privacy Policy

Last updated

This policy describes how Cronos IO, our website at cronosio.app, and our support service handle information. Cronos IO is provided by Combinatronix Labs LLC. For questions about this policy, email support@cronosio.app.

1. Information in the app

Cronos IO stores the information you enter on your device, including projects, companies, hourly rates, work shifts, timestamps, notes, and saved contact details. It also stores local preferences needed to operate the app.

These records are used to track time, organize work, calculate amounts, and create reports. The app does not automatically transmit them to Combinatronix Labs. The current app has no developer-operated cloud sync, advertising, tracking, or analytics service.

The app relies on your device's security and storage protections. Cronos IO does not add its own encryption to the local database or Excel exports.

2. Optional contact access

You can enter contact details manually or choose to import them from your device's address book. If you choose to import, Cronos IO asks for contact permission and reads the contacts your operating system allows it to access so you can choose a contact. It saves only the contact details you select in the app's local database.

Cronos IO does not upload your address book to us or modify the original address-book contacts. You can change or revoke contact access in your device settings. Revoking permission does not remove details you previously saved in Cronos IO; you can remove those in the app.

3. Device backups and transfers

Your operating system may include Cronos IO's local data in device backups or transfers, depending on your settings. For example, a backup may be stored in your cloud account or on a computer. These copies are managed by your operating system or backup provider, rather than by Cronos IO.

Manage backup copies through your device or provider settings. Deleting information in Cronos IO does not delete copies already stored in backups.

4. Exports and sharing

When you choose to export, Cronos IO creates an Excel file containing project and company information, hourly rates, shifts, timestamps, notes, tracked time, and calculated amounts. You choose the app, service, or recipient that receives the file.

If you choose to open an email, message, or phone action, the selected contact details are passed to the app that handles that action. You may also choose to copy information to your device's clipboard.

The apps, services, and recipients you choose handle this information under their own practices. Previously saved or shared copies are outside Cronos IO's control and are not removed when you delete records in the app.

5. Support emails

If you email support@cronosio.app, we receive your sender address, message, and any attachments you choose to include. Our support group receives and manages these emails through Google Workspace.

We use this information to respond to your request, investigate problems, and meet applicable legal obligations. Please send only the information needed for your request and remove private client or work details from screenshots and attachments when possible.

We retain support correspondence only for as long as needed for these purposes, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. You can request access, correction, or deletion by emailing us. We honor deletion requests when possible, subject to legal obligations and technical limits such as retained backups.

6. Website hosting

This website uses Google's Firebase Hosting. Firebase processes incoming IP addresses to deliver and protect the service and analyze hosting usage. Google states that Firebase Hosting retains IP data for a few months. For details, see Firebase's privacy information.

These pages do not include advertising trackers or website analytics scripts. Hosting usage information is separate from the records stored in the Cronos IO app.

Google's services may process information in countries other than where you live. See Firebase's privacy information and Google Workspace's data processing terms for provider details.

7. Retention, deletion, and your choices

App records remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app and its local data. In Cronos IO, you can edit or delete projects, shifts, companies, and saved contact details. Deleting a project also deletes its shifts. Deleting a company removes its saved contacts while retaining associated projects with their company link cleared.

Removing an imported contact from Cronos IO does not delete the original contact in your device's address book. On iOS, Offload App keeps documents and data; use Delete App to remove the app and its local data.

We cannot remotely access, edit, or delete your local app database. Deletion in the app does not remove existing backups, files you exported or shared, or emails you sent to support. Manage those copies with the relevant provider or recipient.

Depending on your location, you may have privacy rights such as access, correction, deletion, or the right to raise a concern with a data protection authority. To ask about information held by Combinatronix Labs, contact support@cronosio.app.

8. Children

Cronos IO is a work time tracking tool and is not directed to children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to our support group, contact us so we can address the request.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the app or our practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.

For privacy questions or support, contact Combinatronix Labs LLC at support@cronosio.app. Our support page explains what to include when reporting a problem.
